Welcome to my site

Hi. My name is Dr. Pete. Thank you for visiting. I am a first generation Haitian American. My parents came to the US in 1970 on a temporary visa. Fortunately for them, my mom was pregnant with me, giving them the ability to stay in the US and apply for citizenship. My parents valued education and made sure I had one.

I grew up with an extreme love for all animals. Given that passion, I decided I wanted to be a Veterinarian. So all my classes in high school reflected that. However, after a year of college, I decided to join the army and let them pay for medical school. So I joined as a Combat Medical Specialist.

Before I knew it, I was sent to war. Thank goodness I survived, but grateful for our fallen soldiers (they are never forgotten). Four years after I returned from the Persian Gulf, I became a respiratory therapist. I have been in respiratory therapy since the early 90s. During my time in the military, I continued to work on my bachelor’s. However, it didn’t come easy. I endured constant deployments, relocations, and combat exercises that prevented me from completing my bachelor's degree. To add insult to injury, I subsequently had a divorce. So since 1989, I have tried to complete my bachelor's degree. Not only did divorce hinder my progress, but also being an active dad. My children needed me. Even after being remarried in a blended and interracial family, rearing children caused me to postpone my goals. In 2014 I finally succeeded. I received my bachelor’s. I immediately got into a Master’s program which I completed in 2016. I took a year off and into a Doctoral program I went, completing it in 2021. During my career, I have been a medic, EMT, respiratory therapist, charge respiratory therapist, resource respiratory therapist, respiratory manager, respiratory consultant, nursing home administrator, business consultant, professor, Taekwondo Instructor, piano teacher, CPR instructor of instructors - just to name a few. I have reinvented myself several times, I have pivoted my career several times. I have helped many realize their dreams and gave them clarity, support, and accountability. See what others are saying……

I  received my Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) degree with a concentration in leadership from Walden University and a Master of Business with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from American Public University. I am currently a Nursing Home Administrator, operating a 179–bed nursing home with over 130 employees. I have amassed over 32 years of progressive healthcare experience.

About Me More

My life’s mission is to lead leaders and to help others navigate their personalized journey to achieve their respective destinies, impacting social change. Throughout my career, I have maintained the highest performance standards within a diverse range of administrative and leadership functions. My commitment to quality is evident by leading teams to function at their best.

Sometimes in life, many of us spend our lives waiting for the right moment, the right conditions, the right circumstances, the right money, or even wait until we lose the sense of fear that often grips us when jumping into the unknown. I had a friend say that “Perfection is a killer of dreams”.

The longer we wait to get on the right path, the harder it may get. I think taking a calculated risk is better than not taking risks at all. There is nothing wrong with making a quality decision after carefully thinking through all your options. I know I don’t want to live a life of regret, but rather reaching my greatest potential.

Opportunities do not always present themselves with an open door. Sometimes, you must push the door open.

Are you ready to make that first step.

Are you ready to finally do something that can bring you great joy?

Well come on and schedule a free career audit with me, and let’s get you on the path to being the best version of yourself and reach and maximize your potential.
